John was born on October 10, 1922 and passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016.

John was a resident of Toledo, Ohio at the time of his passing.

He was a graduate of Bellevue High School and a graduate of Ohio University, College of Business where he was a member of Sigma Theta Gamma Fraternity.

He served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean wars. John was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Air Medical Medals.

He was married to Alice Murphy.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home; 1770 S Reynolds RD on Wednesday October 12 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Services will begin in the Mortuary on Thursday October 13 at 9:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at St Patrick's of Heatherdowns Church. Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.
