John DeDomenico Skillman, NJ John M. DeDomenico, 68, of Skillman, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home. He was born and raised in Staten Island, NY, to his late parents, Dolores and John DeDomenico on July 8, 1949. He resided in Hillsborough, NJ for 22 years before moving to Skillman, NJ 10 years ago. John was a Marketing executive with Dun & Bradstreet. After leaving the corporate world, he followed his passion to become his own boss and opened the Coffee & Cream Cafe in Hillsborough. He then retired in March 2017 from Hillsborough Township, where he was past President of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan, enjoyed playing softball and baseball, was skilled at woodworking, but most importantly he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren who were his life. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his dear son, Jay and wife Rebecca of Frenchtown, NJ; his loving daughter Jodi and husband John Markowski of Frenchtown, NJ; and 4 cherished grandchildren, Jack, Jamie, Mason, and Madyson. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 from 10am-1pm with a prayer service at 1pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Ave, Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
