John was born on October 8, 1928 and passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017.

John was a resident of Ohio at the time of passing.

He graduated from Akron North High School and received his Bachelor Degrees from the University of Akron and Kent State University and his Masters Degree from Kent State University.

John was a World War II veteran serving in the Army of Occupation in Italy.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Akron with Rev. Reford Nash officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation at the Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on September 16, 2017.
