John was born on January 23, 1941 and passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018.

John was a resident of New York at the time of passing.

Besides his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by his two brothers, Larry Rodbourn and Paul Rodbourn and his sister, Martha Rumsey A resident of Avoca for most of his life, John was a graduate of Haverling Central School in Bath.

From 1962 to his honorable discharge in 1968 he proudly served two tours of duty with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Services Location: Avoca Funeral Home Place of Interment: Valley View Cemetery, Avoca John T. Rodbourn AVOCA-John T. Rodbourn, 77, of Avoca, passed away Thursday (Feb. Calling hours are 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Monday (Feb. 12, 2018) at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St. in Avoca, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. Committal services and interment, with military honors, will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Avoca.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to the Avoca Hose Company and Ambulance Corps, 7 Chase St., P.O. Box 447, Avoca, N.Y. 14809 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
