John was born on July 2, 1947 and passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

John was a resident of Antioch, Illinois at the time of passing.

John was a graduate of East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL before attending Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, graduating in 1969.

He participated in the Air Force ROTC program throughout his college tenure and later served his country in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 40000 US Rte. 45, Old Mill Creek, IL 60046 to be preceded by words of remembrance at 12:45PM. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, January 12, 2018 and from 10:30AM until 12:45PM Saturday, January 13, 2018. All visitation hours will be at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church. Interment is private.
