Johnny was born on May 19, 1926 and passed away in August 2017.

Johnny was a resident of Amory, Mississippi at the time of passing.

He graduated from Greenwood Springs High School and served 26 months in the U. S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.

Burial will follow at Sullivan Cemetery in Bartahatchie. Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Pauline Goodwin Coleman of Amory, MS; one sister, Eloise Amon (Larry) of Naples, FL; sons, Johnny Jerome Coleman, Jr. (Molly) of Columbus, MS; Dennis Franklin Coleman (Penny) of Columbus, MS; seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. , until service time, Saturday, August 19th at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Hatley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Mississippi, 855 South Pear Orchard, Suite 501, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
