Johnny Van Allen was born on March 14, 1952 in Mesa, Arizona. He lived in Arizona his entire life. He passed away June 13, 2017 in Glendale, Arizona. He is survived by his loving wife, Teri Van Allen and his loving family.

Johnny spent his life loving his family. He enjoyed spending days with Teri out shopping, playing bingo, and gardening. Jalapeños was his favorite thing to grow.

Johnny spent many years on fields. Whether it was softball, soccer, or football. If one of his kids or grandkids had a game he wanted to be there. He was our biggest fan.

He got a lot of joy watching Caresa tumble in cheer or hearing about her day at school or work. Tre made him laugh with his shy smile and his passion to exceed in all things like football or school. Dakari delighted him with his amazing skills at sports and loved to watch him perform hip-hop on stage. Watching his grandkids grow and flourish was his number one thing. He got to watch Ava perform on little theatre stages as well as professional theatres and he couldn't wait for her BIG break. He was overjoyed when Gavin chose hockey as his favorite sport, because in Arizona sitting next to ice is a great thing. He couldn't wait to see Ayden get on the ice, but until that happened he gladly got his butt kicked in Wii bowling tournaments.

You could always call on him to be there for you in a moment's notice. Whether it be a flat tire, car accident, or sick in the hospital. He would gladly come just to help or sit and talk. He could make a friend anywhere and he touched so many lives. We are blessed to have had him in our lives for 65 amazing years.
