Jose was born on March 2, 1934 and passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017.

Jose was a resident of Merrillville, Indiana at the time of passing.

Joe was a Lifetime Member of the Indiana University Alumni Association, The Pan-American Golf Association, the Indiana Harbor Old-Timers and East Chicago Washington Alumni Association Joe was a 1953 graduate of East Chicago Washington High School, he was president of his senior class and a member of the National Honor Society.

Joe served in the United States Army Honor Guard with tours to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, India, and Germany.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 2, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Geisen Funeral Home 7905 Broadway Merrillville, In. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday March 3, 2017 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 801 W. 73rd Avenue Merrillville, Father Brian Chadwick officiating. There will be a short visitation at the church beginning at 9:30 am.
