Joseph Frederick Abrams of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Joe and his wife Barbara Joan (Holgate) Abrams were married for 63 wonderful years. Joe and Joan have three children, Donna Abrams Marceau (John Paul Marceau) / Pennsylvania, Joseph F. Abrams, Jr.(Karen Cromley) / Pennsylvania and Scott R. Abrams (Tammy Sanchez) / Florida. Joe was the Brother-In-Law of Richard & Ellen (Price) Holgate of Sun City Center, Florida and Andrea (Holgate) & Richard Saylor of Islamorada, Florida. Grandfather to Evan Marceau and Alexandra Marceau / Pennsylvania and Ryan Abrams and Bradley Abrams / Delaware. Uncle to 6 nieces and a crew of grand nieces and nephews. Joe Abrams was born in Laurel Springs, NJ on August 8, 1930 to parents Edna and Joseph Abrams. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a Freemason (lifetime member of the Dorchester Lodge 369 Charleston, South Carolina) and a member of the American Legion. He was a Cubmaster with the Boy Scouts of America and a retiree from the Philadelphia Electric Company. Joe was an avid Bridge player and a member of the Kings Point Sportsman Club and The Three Tees men's golf club of Kings Point in Sun City Center.
A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held at the Church of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 701 Valley Forge Blvd. in Sun City Center, Florida on
Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
