Joseph L. Worthington, age 93, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away on April 3, 2017 at the Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of Littleton G. and Elizabeth V. (Botts) Worthington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served our country during WWII. He loved to hunt small game and was a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races, and was also a boxing fan. He was the last surviving charter member of Level Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Worthington is survived by his wife of 73 years, come April 5, 2017, Margaret W. Worthington; son Gene (Sharon) Worthington; granddaughter, Holly L. Worthington of Havre de Grace; and great-grandchildren, Jenna Keith, Megan and Joey Lutz all of Havre de Grace. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Level Volunteer Fire Company, 3633 Level Village Rd., Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
