Joseph M. DiGirolamo (Joe Dee), formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly in Naples, Florida on November 12, 2017. Joe will be forever remembered by his wife, love and best friend of forty-eight years, Catherine (Nigro), and their children, Christina Wahl and son-in-law Tim Wahl, Joanna Stusse and son-in-law Corey Stusse, and Joseph (Joe Mike) DiGirolamo and daughter-in-law Teresa DiGirolamo. Joe was blessed with eight grandchildren, Mason and Bryce Stusse, Gianna and Joseph Johnnie DiGirolamo, and Ford, Leah, Max and August Wahl. They all adored their Papa. He cherished them.

Joe leaves behind numerous friends that were captivated by his bright smile and eyes and strong and amazing personality, as well as siblings, brothers-and-sisters-in law and nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe and Fannie DiGirolamo, and brother, Thomas.

A cremation ceremony was held in Naples, Florida, to be followed by interment at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons. A memorial in celebration of Joe will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017, 10:00 to 11:30 am with a service starting at 11:30 am, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons – White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.

Memorial contributions in memory of Joe in lieu of flowers may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or The Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
