Weil, Joseph Robert, of Beavercreek Township, Ohio, formerly of Centerville, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, from complications due to a fall in March. Joe was born February 27, 1934, in Cheviot, Ohio to Joseph Jacob and Clara (Allgeier) Weil. He graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Loyola University in Chicago and Xavier University in Cincinnati. He began his career as a guidance counselor at Western Hills High School in Cincinnati. He then went into human resources, and was employed at McCalls (Dayton Press), Southwest Portland Cement, Duriron and Scitex, all in the Dayton area. He is survived by his wife, Becky (Jorgenson) Weil , whom he married on March 28, 2005. He is also survived by three sons, Joe Jr. (Katherine) of Seattle, Washington, Mike and granddaughter, Jacqueline of Denver, Colorado, David (Jennifer) and grandsons, Jacob, William and Jonathan, of Jefferson Twp., PA; a sister, Virginia Antoinette; step children, Jeff (Carie) Jorgenson, of Riverside, OH, Jennifer (Charlie) Back, Julie (Bill) Hocker, all of Beavercreek; step grandchildren, Josie and Brenna Jorgenson, Jackson, Madison and Tyler Back, Cody and Justin Hocker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Barbara Kay (Melnik) Weil. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday , September 29, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, Ohio. A luncheon will be held following the mass at the church. Burial will then take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery , 701 East Ross Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio. Those wishing to make a donation may do so to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Hospice of Dayton.
