Joshua C. Swindell, 46, of Phoenix, AZ. On Saturday September 16, 2017 the world changed forever. Josh Swindell departed from the love of his life David Schmidt while vacationing with family. Josh was a lover of life and a dreamer. He loved his husband, his family, his friends, his work, success and serenity. Josh did what he loved every day by working in the real estate field with James Associates in Phoenix Arizona. He was a very successful person and a highly respected real estate entrepreneur, loan closer, broker, and property manager. The quality of his character demanded loyalty and integrity from everyone in his life. Patient and kind with all who have crossed his path, Josh will be remembered most for his intelligence and beautiful smile along with his love for real estate, going to open houses, scouring the earth for the next real estate adventure and dreaming daily of mega mansions and one day owning a yacht.

It is difficult to describe the whole of who Josh was. He radiated warmth, kindness, serenity and a love that was boundless and bountiful for everyone around him. Friends and family would gather to him for advice and counsel and in those moments Josh would make them the center of his universe. He inspired others to be better and helped them understand how to forgive themselves for mistakes made. He had the ability to look through the book cover and see the good in everyone’s soul. Never will there be a replacement for such a wonderful man. Caring and charismatic, he has touched the heart and soul of so many. We love you Josh, forever.

Josh is survived by his best friend and husband David Schmidt of 25 years.
