Joy LeBlanc Samson, 95 of Baton Rouge, LA passed away Friday Jan. 12, 2018 at St. Clare Manor. Born Aug. 29, 1922 in Donaldsonville, LA. and a graduate of Baton Rouge High School, her greatest pleasure was music, and she played the piano with flair and gusto. Her name, Joy, described her lifestyle. Survived by: son Randall J. Samson (Susan), daughters Mary Ann Lacoste (Richard) and Valerie Richard (Aubrey). Grandchildren: Christine Gatewood, Pamela Marquis, Jennifer Samson, Ricki Linarello, Katie Hopkins, John Lacoste, Amanda Rufini and Dr. Emily Landry. Great grandchildren: Lauren Buckles, Rebecca Lassiter, Michael Marquis Jr., Cara and Colin Cudd,Tyler, Ryan and Jillian Bowman,  Kadence and Khloe Hopkins, Dalton, Emil and Michael Rufini, and A. Troy Landry Jr. Great-great grandchild Elisabeth Bowman. Joy also was blessed with numerous loving step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, WWI veteran Euzelien P. LeBlanc and Anita Leonard LeBlanc, and her husband, WWII veteran Dalton L. L. Samson. Visitation at Seale Funeral home 9995 Hooper Rd. Central, LA on Tuesday Jan. 16, 2018 from 9-11 AM with services to follow. Burial at Port Hudson Nat'l Cemetery. Pall bearers: Aubrey Richard, Michael Marquis Sr., Trey Rufini, Michael Marquis Jr., Bronson Hopkins and John Lacoste.
