Joyce Perkins, age 83, passed away in Lubbock on January 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Idalou Cemetery with Pastor Brooks Morton of First United Methodist Church of Idalou officiating. Services under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Idalou.

Joyce was born on March 11, 1933 in Lamb County. She was raised by her parents Ollie H. and Maggie Doll (Johnson) Davis near Littlefield where her parents farmed in the Fieldton and Amherst areas. Joyce graduated from Littlefield High School, which is where she met her high school sweetheart, Billie Glen Perkins. The couple was married in Clovis, New Mexico. They later made their home in Amarillo where she worked as an accountant for over 30 years at U.C. Sterquell C.P.A. She and Billie loved to spend time fishing together in Old Mexico.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Billie Perkins of Amarillo, her daughter, Rhonda DeBusk and husband, Gary of Idalou, grandchildren, Logan Lutrick and Lily Lutrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Tanya Wilson Sawyers, and her sister, Jo Pickrell Wigley.
