Born September 5, 1949 to William Brown Jr. and Beatrice Peters Brown in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on September 19, 2016 at the age of 67. Judy grew up in Westland and met her husband Randy in 1967 while attending MSU. Together they remained faithful Spartan fans, tailgating and supporting the University through the years as alumni. Judy also proudly served as the Vice President of Southwell Builders, Inc.
Judy's life passions included gourmet cooking, hosting large family gatherings, traveling the world, dancing, golfing, and fine dining accompanied with a superior glass of wine. Judy welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, mind, and heart. Anyone who knew Judy will know the world is mourning the loss of an amazing woman with a heart full of love. She was always supportive and available with an open ear or helpful advice. She lived life to the fullest and will be remembered always.
She was preceded in death by both parents and brother, Richard Brown. Surviving are siblings, Carolyn Mykusz, Janice (Ron) Coles, William Brown III, and Steven (Gail) Brown. Married to Randy Southwell September 7, 1968, Judy leaves behind her husband and best friend of nearly 50 years, as well as much-loved and cherished family, Andrew Southwell, Brent and Barbara Southwell, Angela and Tom James, Benjamin and Sarah Southwell; grandchildren, Connor, Emily, Ethan, Cameron, Chloe, Hody, and Harrison.
