Judy Gerhard, died Saturday, June 18, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, born January 28, 1944 and was an Englewood resident since 1968. Judy is survived by her husband Bill, daughter and son-in-law, Therese and Scott Stewart and their children, Joshua, Roseanna, Elizabeth and Clara; son and significant other, David and Trisha and his children, Danielle, Allison and Anna; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Denise and their children Aaron and Ashley. Also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Carol Brombaugh and brother David Brombaugh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Ned Zerkle, Linda and Norm Miller and Therese Frick, and brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Nancy Gerhard and many other special relatives, friends and neighbors. She graduated from Dixie High School in New Lebanon, Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Dayton. Employed part-time at Miami Valley Hospital when children were young then worked full-time in public service beginning in 1985 at the Montgomery County Board of Elections, Ohio Attorney General's Office, Montgomery County Treasurer's Office and 15 years teaching political science and government at Sinclair Community College before retiring in 2008. Active in the community for many years as a member of the League of Women Voters, the Democratic Party and City Council Member in Englewood beginning in 1978. Was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church from its beginning. Friends may call from 9-10:30 am Saturday, June 25th, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1000 W Wenger Rd., Englewood with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Father Tim Knepper C.PP.S presiding, interment to follow at Fairview cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Judy.
