youngest child of the late, Adam and Isabel (Balcuitis) Ceplikas. Julius, better known as "Cep" or "Doc", moved to Auburn in 1971. He established a dental practice, which was a "patients first" dental office. Each patient was treated with great compassion and care. On October 30, 1970, he married Anne (Spear), and they shared a loving marriage of over 47 years. Cep served in the Medical Corps. of the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge. Cep went on to further his education at Tufts College in MA and Northwestern University in IL, where he earned his DDS degree. He enjoyed playing golf at Fairlawn Golf Club and he did it well. He was always an athlete, and also enjoyed bowling and cross country skiing. Doc is survived by his wife; son, Mark Ceplikas (Treasure) of Littleton, CO; daughters, Jill Flynn (William) of Chelmsford, MA, and Nina Bowen (William) of Gilbert, AZ; step-children, Janice Schneider (Barton) of Franklin, TN, Joyce Whitney (John) of Groton, NH, Kenneth Healey (Barbara) of Dayville, CT, and Marilyn Lugner (Peter) of Farmingdale, ME; he also leaves numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Caruso; step-daughter, Jocelyn Healey; a granddaughter, Kimberly Schneider; his brother, Dr. Thomas Ceplikas and his sister, Olga Munroe and their spouses. Special thanks to the staff at the Hospice House, also Dr. Michael Rifkin and staff, and Fr. Robert Lariviere.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm at Fortin/AUBURN. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7pm at Fortin/AUBURN. A committal will take place at the Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
