Ida “June” Lovelace was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Helen McMurray and Benjamin Moss on November 30, 1930. She passed away on October 26, 2017. She graduated from Berea Academy/Foundation in 1949, and Midway Jr. College, both in Kentucky. She also attended Berea College.

While working her way through college she met and married the late William Paul Lovelace in Frankfort, KY.

June was the quintessential Air Force Officer’s wife; she could pack up and move whenever her husband got orders in a moments notice. She made homes in Germany to Hawaii with many state side stops in-between. They retired to Maitland Florida, with all her children attending Winter Park High School.

After her children were grown, she went back out into the work force in the offices of Sears and Environmental Information to name a few. She loved her ladies clubs, the Bridge club and the Bowling league. She has worked tirelessly for the Retired Officers Wives Club of Central Florida by taking reservations for years.

June was thankful to be able to be a stay at home Mom to her four children when her children were young. The hobby she is most proud of is her needlepoint. Her home has many of her beautiful needlepoint pieces on display.

She is survived by two of their four children: Linda (Larry) LaMirande, and Randy Lovelace of Maitland, FL. Her first born son William Jr. passed in 1994 and her baby Robert passed in 2016. She is also survived by a grandson Brian (Kimberly) LaMirande; two great-grand children, Dustin and Kelsey LaMirande of Saint Cloud; a step-daughter Dorris Croasdell of Ohio; and one sister, Linda Rabe of Irving, Texas
