Junior Lodes Fletcher, 86, of Bloomington, IL., passed from this life Monday, May 8, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center of Normal.

He was born October 3, 1930, in Black Oak, AR., to the late Lodes and Rhoda Fletcher.

Mr. Fletcher served in the United States Marine Corps during The Korean War in which he was a crane operator. He worked as a laborer most of his life. This year would mark his 50th year as a member of the Laborers International Union of North America and his 23rd as a member of The American Legion Post 0635. To say that he enjoyed fishing would be an understatement. He knew every body of water from here to Arkansas, and he would have no problem telling you about every single one of them. If you had the time to sit a listen.

He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Edith Doyle; a son, Timothy Fletcher; and a great-grandson, Lukas Solomon Fletcher
