Junior Roy (JR) Hunter at age 56, passed away July 10, 2017, in Austin, TX. He was at home with family when he peacefully left this world to be with Our Lord. He was born in Dover, Delaware, and the second born of the six children Arthur R. and Bobbie J. Hunter were blessed with. He was a handful and a joy to his parents. To all those who knew him he was spirited, stubborn, loyal, and a big hearted man who loved life.

JR was a Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Army where he earned a 'Superior Marksman' certificate. After the army he enjoyed being a mechanic working on cars, but his passion was with Harley Davidson motorcycles. One of his bucket list items was to ride to the biker rally in Sturgis, SD, which he made several times. JR was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church and for a period of time he was in the church choir. He enjoyed Domino Day with fellow church members, but liked it best when he could win.

JR is preceded in death by his father, Arthur R. Hunter Jr. and his brother, Randy D. Hunter. He is survived by his loving mother, Bobbie Jo Hunter; daughters, Bobbie Jean Hunter and Christine R. Van Eck; siblings Daniel W. Hunter with his wife Hillary A. and sons Jackson B. and Harrison W. Hunter; David A. Hunter; Goldina R. (Hunter) Kennedy with her husband Russell and children Arthur F.
