Karen Lyn Smith, 71, of Fairmont, formerly of Buckhannon, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 17, 1945 a daughter of the late William E. Smith and Ethel Gay (Garbe) Smith.
Karen was a homemaker and mother and a Catholic by Faith. She was a graduate of Linden-McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio.
She is survived by her children: her sons, Brad Lincicome and his wife Kim of Buckhannon, Bill Lincicome of Maryland and Andrew Lincicome of Buckhannon; her daughters, Cheri Carlson and her husband Norman of Indiana, Mimi Wilt and her husband Tom of North Carolina, Heidi McCartney and her husband Jason of Buckhannon, Cyndi Martin and her husband Matt of Ohio and Nancy Frederick and her husband Fred of Rivesville; 39 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Gary A. Smith.
Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street Fairmont on Tuesday from 9am to 11am. The Funeral Service will be at 11am on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Matt Holbert officiating. Location of interment to be determined.
