Karl Joseph Klingler, Jr., 98, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Karl and Daisy Klingler. Karl served in the U.S. Navy during World War II stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas. He then learned the watch repair trade from his father in 1938, and continued his trade as owner of Klingler Jewelers. He retired in 2009 at the age of 90. His most rewarding hobby was building his cottage with his father in 1938. The cottage was his enjoyment throughout his life. He also enjoyed fishing and dancing in his younger years and golf in his older years.

He is survived by his children, Carole (Alan) Geiger, Tom Klingler, Jim Klingler, and Bob (June) Klingler; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Betty; and daughter, Mary Ann Buonomo.

Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road.

Burial in Catholic Cemetery.

Preferred memorials to Saint Ann Home or Masses to the church.
