Katherine June Barron (Fowler), was 83 years old when she was reunited with her husband Keith Barron in God's Kingdom. At 10:30 a.m. on Mother's Day, May 11, 2014, Kathy passed from us in the companionship of her daughters Sylvia Beeson and Barbara McCarthy at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Kathy was visited in the days preceding her passing by many of her loved ones.
Kathy was born on June 22, 1930 in Higginsville, Missouri, the daughter of Leonard Ray Fowler (1892-1961) and Ella Marie Fowler (Albers) (1896-1963). She grew up in Higginsville; the family moved to Kansas City in 1945 where she graduated from Central High School in 1948.
Kathy married Larry Storme on May 20, 1950 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas; they had one child, Deborah Marie Langewisch (Storm) and divorced on October 3, 1952. Kathy married Thomas Sexton on May 17, 1953 in Independence, Missouri, and divorced on April 4, 1956.
The third time was a charm, Kathy married Keith Gregory Barron on August 25, 1956 in Miami, Oklahoma. Keith had three children, Lana Marie Barron, Raymond Wayne Barron and Jennifer Dee Barron. They were married for 42 years before Keith's passing on August 14, 1998. Keith & Kathy had three more children, Sylvia Lynn Beeson (Barron), Randal Lee Barron and Barbara Anne McCarthy (Barron) which they raised in Ferguson, Missouri. Keith worked for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Company in the St Louis area; upon Keith's retirement, they moved to Taberville, Mo. They built a home and worked the pecan grove on their park like river property. Kathy enjoyed books and dolls and ran an Antique Shop in the old Post Office called "Yesteryears". She was an active member of Pape Christian Church.
Since Keith's passing Kathy resided with son Randal Barron and in recent years daughter Sylvia Beeson, both of whom counted it a privilege.
Preceding Kathy in death were her parents, three sisters, one brother, and grandson Mark Barron. Kathy had in all, 7 children,17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Kathy's unconditional love and sweet spirit towards all, will be forever in our memories. She was loved well.
