Kattie Gale Watson died peacefully at the age of 68 from complications of breast cancer on December 16, 2016 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Kattie Gale White was born October 31, 1948 in a small Tennessee town Scotts Hill. Gale graduated Scotts Hill High School May 1967, later attending Cosmetology School and graduating December of 1967. Always thinking ahead, knowing she wanted more than what little she had, she worked hard towards her goals of wanting to see more of the world.

In 1973 met and married James C. Watson, her Jimmy. We have truly been soul mates for 43 years. It was an unusual love, from the first date with Jimmy she knew he was the one. Three months later they were married and built a beautiful life together. He was “My Jimmy, my love, my life, my hope, and my dreams”.

Mrs. Gale was a Cosmetologist for over 49 years. The last nine were spent working, teaching, and mentoring students at Paul Mitchell The School.

To everyone she had worked with and instructed at PMTS, Mrs. Gale wants you all to know “You are and have been my Day Maker”. Gale loved life and found joy in each and every day. Gale’s big heart made her a friend to all, loving each day of her life. She would always look for the best in everyone. She had a love for animals and the outdoors. In earlier years she enjoyed theme parks, and camping with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were special in her life.

Gale is survived by her husband James C. Watson: her daughter; DeAundra (De) Michelle Rodriguez, son-in-law Miguel Rodriguez. Two sons; James Andrew (Drew) Watson, son-in-law Ryan Miller. Anthony Michael (Mike) Watson, daughter-in-law Kim Watson. Grandchildren include Marisa Rodriguez, Manny Rodriguez, Xavier Rodriguez. Kattie has one sister and almost a second mother, Ann Ivey. Our precocious Pug who Gale named Princess Lady Leia the two were inseparable. She is preceded in death by her mother Hazel Montgomery and brother-in-law Loyd Ivey.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of The Comforter where she spent her final hours. It is located at 480 West Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 . Also, the family would like to thank all the staff at Florida Hospital Altamonte, and Altamonte Hospice of The Comforter staff for their efforts, care, and dedication.

Memorial will be from 2-3 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Baldwin Fairchild Apopka Chapel.
