Kay Hocchi Lee, 86, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on November 11, 2017. She was born in Japan on February 2, 1931. Kay was raised in Japan during World War II, and as the family of the Mayor of Kawagoe, Saitama, they were all committed to the stability and prosperity of their city. They all worked as a family to maintain the farm lands, and that began Kay's remarkable work ethic. Kay married Roger Irving Lee in August of 1958 and left Japan to come to the United States with her husband. She was a devoted military wife, traveling to Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Okinawa, California, and ultimately settling in Arizona. Roger and Kay lived in Tucson, Arizona through their retirement. After retiring from civil service, Kay devoted her time to caring for her grandchildren, as her children began their own careers. In August of 2014, Roger passed away after 56 years of marriage and devotion to Kay. Their lifetime of love for each other and their strength and determination in life are carried on through the lives of their children and grandchildren. Kay's passions and interests included gardening, animals and her love for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Patricia Kebodeaux, Richard (Stacey) Lee, Kathleen Lee; grandchildren, Leah Kebodeaux, Derek Kebodeaux, Brian Lee, Stacy Lee, Jason Lee, Ashley Wycoff and Devin Wycoff.
