COLUMBIA Funeral service for Keisler David “K.D.” Grice, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Mr. Grice died Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Born in Monetta, S.C., he was a son of the late Noah and Ola Mae Clark Grice. Mr. Grice was a trainman for Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 406, Scottish Rite and Jamil Temple. Mr. Grice was also a member of the United Transportation Union, American Legion 172 and Beulah Baptist Church. Surviving are his children, Brenda Wiggins (Gary) of Hopkins, Larry Grice (Barbara) of Leesville, Debbie Wells (Terry) and Ken Grice (Alice Grady) all of Hopkins; grandchildren, Shawn Grice (Christina), Sam McCaw (Kathy), Jason Wells (Stephanie), Blake Wells, David Wiggins (Catherine), and Kayla Townsend (Corbin); and great-grandchildren, Oscar, John, Lea McCaw, Luke Grice, Emma and Caroline Wells, Landon Townsend and Bennett Luthren. He was predeceased by his wife, Maxine Hallman Grice; son, Mark A. Grice; and granddaughter, Kathleen Grady. Memorials may be made to “Warriors Walk” at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209; Beulah Baptist Church, 9487 Garners Ferry Road, Hopkins, SC 29061; or a charity of one’s choice.
