Ziegler, Keith Wynne, 69, went home on September 27, 2017 in Tampa, FL from cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he moved his family from Asbury Park, NJ to Tampa in 1983 with the assumption life would be easy and he would be able to retire at an early age. That assumption did not materialize, instead Keith used his degree in Social Work and Psychology at Northside Community Health Centers. Keith always had a passion to help others, as a mediator, mentor to those who asked or as a health specialist. Keith served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as an Air Force Aeromed SVC Specialist and continued his passion when he was discharged. He went back to school and got his LPN license and obtained a position at the James A. Haley Hospital in Tampa, working with quadriplegics until he hurt his back and moved to Quality Assurance and Utilization. He applied for the Patient Advocate position and remained there until he retired. Keith loved being outdoors. His motorcycles, sailboat and beach time were his greatest relaxation. He loved going to the USF Bulls football games and going to his grandsons football games at Jesuit H.S. and Lutz TBYFL. His three grandchildren Jaden, Jace, and Jordan always knew their Pop Pop was their biggest supporter no matter what they did. Keith is survived by his wife and soul mate, Barbara of 48 years, his son Keith J. (Misha) Ziegler, daughter, Kera Dawn (Jasen) Pask, grandchildren, Jaden and Jace Pask and Jordan Ziegler and brother, J. Chris (Veronica) Ziegler. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Chris and Ruth Ziegler and brother, Wayne Ziegler. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to www.StJude.org/donations to help fight children’s cancer.
