Kelly J. Shepard, 59, of Keene, passed away suddenly in the comfort of her home on October 6, 2017.

She was born September 2, 1958 in Claremont, NH, the daughter of Simonne (Choquette) and Jay Shepard. She grew up in Milford, NH and was a high school graduate from MASH with the class of 1976. She had resided in Keene for the past nine years and was employed by Price Chopper.

Kelly lived a simple life, taking each day as it came. She was a social butterfly and knew people everywhere she went. As a people person, she was able to find the good in everybody that crossed her path. She had a true heart of gold. Above all things, Kelly adored her granddaughter and cherished every moment she got being "Gammie".

Kelly loved finding a good bargain; whether it meant finding some goodies to bring to her daughter's office for the staff to snack on or to finding small toys to add to her "Gammie bag." She enjoyed going for walks with Jordan to Main Street to get a slice of pizza and dancing with her at gazebo while the music played. Jordan was her pride and joy and she would often joke that she had to remind herself to say goodbye to her daughter, Chelsea, because she was always so focused on Jordan!

Kelly will be dearly missed by her daughter: Chelsea Nadeau and her husband Dennis of Hinsdale, NH; granddaughter Jordan Marie; parents: Simonne and Jay Shepard of Enfield, NH; brother: Kristopher Shepard and his wife Lynn of Litchfield, NH, sister: Tracy Shepard and her significant other Carol Chaput of Merrimack, NH, and Holly Komp of Green Bay, WI; aunt: Geraldine Morin of Newton, NH; uncles: Peter Choquette of Marble Falls, TX, and Gerald Gibbs of VA; long time companion: Barry Chamberlain of Wilton, NH; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

While flowers will gladly be accepted, however memorial donations may be made in Kelly J. Shepard's name to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446 (www.MonadnockHumaneSociety.org) or to the Community Kitchen, PO Box 1315, Keene, NH 03431 (www.TheCommunityKitchen.org).
