EASTOVER - A funeral service for Kenneth David Taylor, 57, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at McLeod United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.



Mr. Taylor died Sunday, January 22, 2017. Born in Columbia, David was a son of Ann Woods Taylor and the late Kenneth Raymond Taylor. A graduate of Calhoun Academy and Midlands Technical College, he worked at Westinghouse for 32 years. He was a member of McLeod UMC and Lower Richland Masonic Lodge # 406.



David was a loving, compassionate and giving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved hunting, fishing, attending sporting events, always having a smile and telling jokes. He had a contagious laugh that stood out in a crowd. That laugh never left him until he passed away. He was loved by so many and made friends wherever he went through his travels. He was a great man who always stood up for the right thing. He was always there for his family who loved him so much. He was Dad, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and a True Friend who will be missed forever.



In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Kenneth Adam Taylor (Erica) of Columbia, Keith David Taylor (Marina) of Lexington; brother, Paul Taylor (Merri Gay); grandchildren, Kenneth Lawson Taylor, Tara, Tina, Tyler; nephew, Justin Paul Taylor (Lauren); niece, Emily Lauren “Girly” Taylor; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
