Kenneth H. Diekroeger of Brookhaven, Georgia rejoined his beautiful wife, Arlene in heaven Wednesday afternoon (4/19). Ken was born in West Salem, WI and was the youngest of 12 children. He was an avid athlete and sports fan, Ken loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Stanford Cardinal. Ken graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with a degree in accounting and spent his entire career with Allis Chalmers, now known as Siemans. Ken married his beautiful, spunky wife, Arlene, August 24th, 1957 and they had four amazing children together; Teri Lynn, Sandra Lee, Kenneth James, and Robert Alan. Ken and Arlene had a passion for animals, golden retrievers had their heart. The stories Ken could tell about Big John, Meg, Lu, Norman, and Wonder would have you mesmerized and begging for more. While West Salem was where Ken was born and raised, Big Canoe was his home and heart. Ken and Arlene had seven grandchildren; Kenny, Danny, Laurie, Megan, Matt, Sarah, and Mikey, they too spent many holidays playing in the woods and on the golf course at Big Canoe. One could not find a more proud grandfather when it came to his grandchildren.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene. He is survived by his daughters Teri, Sandy, sons Ken and Bob, his seven grandchildren, and his cat, Waffles. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta (grra.com) in his name.
