Kenneth "K.R." Phillips, 68, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 22, 2014) at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Memorials can be directed to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter or Macon County Animal Shelter.

K.R. was born on July 17, 1945 in Bloomington, IL the son of Kenneth R. and Reva (Halsey) Phillips. He married Lynn Pribble on April 25, 1998 in their home. He retired from both Kroger and Pepperidge Farm. K.R. was a member of Prarieland Abate and was an avid motorcyclist, gear head and supporter of the 2nd amendment.

Surviving is his wife, Lynn; sons: Ben Phillips of Lincoln, IL, Rusty (Tiffany) McFall of Decatur, IL, David (Amy) Akers of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren: Brodie Phillips, Sidney McFall, Kaine McFall, Nevaeh McFall, Ashley Akers and Makenzie Akers; sisters: Donna Ray (Ed) Alsene of Bloomington, IL, Nancy Badenoch of Edgewood, WA and Jean (Maurice) Halsey of Virginia; special cousins: Bob White of Oswego, IL and Janet Stein of O'Fallon, IL; best friends: Tom (Marta) Myers of Decatur, IL and several wayward sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and son Jonathan McFall.
