Kimberly K. Burroughs Metairie, LA Kim Burroughs, 42, of Metairie, Louisiana was born on October 1, 1975 in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of Johnnie Ray Burroughs and Peggy Sue Lewis Burroughs. She left this earthly life for her heavenly home on Sunday, March 25, 2018. She worked in the restaurant business for many years, enjoying serving others and making people smile. Kim had a big heart and spent her life trying to help others. She was a great mother and loved her family and friends beyond measure and her last wish to them was to keep loving each other and to love God and follow Him so she will spend eternity in Heaven with them. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George & Maggie Lewis; her paternal grandparents Ken & Shirley Burroughs and a very special aunt, Karen Burroughs. Kim is survived by her children, Camron Corleone Burroughs, Colby Lewis Burroughs, Casey Lee Burroughs and Christon Michael Burroughs all of Metairie, LA; her parents, two brothers, Tim Burroughs and wife Becky and David Burroughs all of Delhi, LA; a special friend Gerilyn Fielding; nephew, Cody Mooney and two nieces Vanessa Jones and Layla Sarha and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Newton Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Ganey officiating. Visitation will be held at Newton Baptist Church on Thursday from 12:30 PM until time of services. Burial will be in the Newton Community Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi. Pallbearers will be Shane Huffman, Walter Huffman, William Gilbert, Rusty Walker, Gerald Henry and Jimmy Blackmon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Stanley and Freddie Howington.
