LaVerne Mahler, 81, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was born April 11, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Marie (Wiegle) Lampe. LaVerne was a member of the St Lawrence Catholic Church and past member of the St Lawrence School Board. She was very active at both St Lawrence Church and St Lawrence School. She was an avid bowler and loved her crosswords and puzzles. She retired as a nurse from Good Samaritan Hospital. She is survived by her son, Curtis (wife Brandy) Mahler of Greendale, IN; daughter, Marie (husband Jeff) Nagle of Noblesville, IN; and 6 grandchildren, Bridget, Gretchen, Clare, Jarek, Jasper, and Caden. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Lampe; and her loving husband, John Mahler. Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11 am, with Father Peter Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the St Lawrence School.
