Larry Joe "L.J." Leverich was a longtime resident of Oklahoma City and graduate of Northwest Classen in 1972. He went on to play baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State and Bethany Nazarene College. He was a longtime civilian contractor at Tinker Air Force Base. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved NASCAR. Larry is survived by Gayle Lewis; her children and grandchildren; father, Hank Leverich and Barbara Jackson; mother, Gwynne Fisher; brother, Steve Leverich and Connie; sister, Sharyl Leverich and Dwayne Swift; nephew, Devin Swift; nephew Michael Leverich and Lindsey; and great-nephews, Tyson and Preston. He was also blessed with a host of additional brothers and sisters in Sherri and Pam, David, Rhonda, Carolyn, Bruce, DJ, Gary, Joan and many more nieces and nephews. It doesn't matter how much you have, a house, a car, the cash... what matters most is how you live in the "dash." In lieu of flowers a donation in honor of his mother could be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Private family services will be held.
