Larry R. Romatz was born August 6, 1944, in Detroit; the son of Nicholas and Dorothy Romatz. He grew up in Detroit and eventually settled in Clinton Township. Larry entered into rest March 2, 2018 at the age of 73. Known as the “King of the Bottle Room”, he was much loved by his fellow employees at his local Kroger. He will also be remembered for his smile and infectious laugh that brightened everyone’s day. Larry was also an avid coupon clipper and loved a good deal, especially if it was for Arby’s or an Ice Cream Sandwich. He took meticulous care of his car, making sure it did not have a scratch or dent and was always locked up and safe. Larry is predeceased by his parents and several of his siblings. He leaves behind his daughters Stacey Romatz, and Kelley (Andrew) Wood. He is the dear grandfather of Jacob, Emmalee, Avery, and Drew. He is the brother of Gary “Butch” Romatz and brother-in-law of Joyce Romatz. He will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews friends and extended Kroger family. A Memorial Service will be held for Larry Saturday March 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. Warren (at Masonic Blvd). The family will be accepting friends and visitors from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Please share a memory on our guest book
