Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home
Larry William McGill, 63, of Fairmont passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Genesis Health Care, Salem Center in Salem. He was born in Philippi on May 5, 1951 a son of the late Stephen McGill and Lillian Saucer McGill.
Larry last worked as a stock man at Walmart in Morgantown. Prior to that he had worked at Trinity Assembly of God Church as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Long Run Free Will Baptist Church in Simpson. Larry had a good sense of humor and enjoyed making his friends and family smile. He liked watching movies on television.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara Haught McGill; his son Larry Wayne McGill of Philadelphia; his daughter, Beverly Ann Swick and her fiancée, Shawn Stutler of Fairmont; his grandchildren Christopher Andrew Dulaney, Adrian Ann Williams, Tabitha Nicole Williams, Ariana Mercer and Casandra Mercer.
He is also survived by his brother, Robert McGill and his wife Katherine; two sisters, Margaret Williams and her husband Harry of Flemington and Betty Stubenbordt of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Nestor.
Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 11am to 1pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m.
