Laura was born on February 25, 1925 and passed away in January 2018.

Laura was a resident of North Bennington, Vermont at the time of passing.

She grew up in Fort Valley and Athens, graduating president of her class from Athens High School in 1942 and, as an accomplished and talented pianist, from Converse College, Spartanburg, NC, in 1945, with a BA in music.

Visitation hours will be held at Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, 4-7 PM, Tuesday, January 9. A memorial service/ celebration of life is planned for Summer 2018.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Laura may be sent to John G. McCullough Free Library, Bennington Rescue Squad, Sage City Symphony and Second Congregational Church, all of which she supported.
