Leon was born on August 6, 1922 and passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017.

Leon was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana at the time of his passing.

Leon attended schools in New Orleans.

He joining the U.S. Navy in 1942, serving during WW II aboard the troop transporter U.S.S. Admiral Benson until being discharged in 1946.

He was married to Audrey LaPlace Gambino.

New Orleans , LA A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
