LEONARD JOHN DEININGER, 91, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, 6:13 a.m., at Parkview Hospital - Randallia. Born Tuesday, June 30-1925, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Dorothy (Fischer) and Edward B. Deininger.

He was an engineer for N & S Railroad. He was the S.P.C.A. "Can Man". He enjoyed the outdoors, going to the lake, the pool, and taking walks.

Surviving are his daughter, Sandy Jo Deininger of Fort Wayne; grandson, Seth Phillip Deininger of Fort Wayne; beloved dog, Susie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (Gebhardt) Deininger; and brother, Edward Deininger. "We are thankful for Park Place for making Lenny part of the family for the last several years, especially Shannon."

Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Robert Arenobine officiating.
