Leonardo David died March 24, 2015, at a local convalescent hospital. He was 82. A native of the Philippine Islands, he came to Watsonville in 1982. Mr. David worked as a custodian for the Pajaro Valley Unified School District for 15 years. He enjoyed bowling, chess, food, and singing. He was known as "the Frank Sinatra" of the David family. He was also a member of the Filipino Community of Watsonville.
Mr. David leaves his wife, Carmelita, of the family home in Watsonville, two sons, Eddie Boy and Bonat David, both of the Philippine Islands; one daughter, Luth Enriquez of Hayward; four brothers, Antonio and Jesus David, both of the Philippine Islands, Armando David of Buena Park, and Carlos David of Oregon; two sisters, Consuelo Filoteo of the Philippine Islands and Aurora Tison of San Francisco; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Ramoncito.
Visitation will be held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel on Saturday, March 28th from 11-1 pm with a Chapel Blessing service to begin at 1:00 p.m.
