Lester G. McDougle, 63, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was born in Reform, Alabama on November 22, 1953. Lester graduated from Polytechnic High School. He joined the United States Army in January of 1974 where he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Parachute Badge. He also was a Sharpshooter M-16. After his Honorable Discharge, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from UT Arlington.

He married Valeria Jackson on September 19, 1979, in Fort Worth, TX. Lester had a career in Adult Corrections, working as a Parole Officer. He then worked in Administration for JPS before finding his passion as a Probation Officer working for Tarrant County CSCD.

He was a long-time member of Crossroads Family Church we he was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and served as an Elder for many years. He was a member at Turning Point Church for the past 3 years.

Lester had a passion for the Word of God, and reading. He loved his wife and his children with a fervent love. He enjoyed running, racquetball, guitar, shopping, shoes and coffee.

Preceded in death by his father, Willie James McDougle Sr., his mother, Joyce McDougle and his brother, Richard Louis McDougle.

He was survived by his wife Valeria McDougle; children, Zaccheus Lamar Jackson-McDougle (LaTasha), Bethany Tamar White (Trai), Ezra Jamar McDougle, and Omega Shaymar McDougle; and his brothers Willie James McDougle Jr., and Michael McDougle.

Memorial will be held at 5:00p.m., August 3, 2017 at Crossroads 2035, 5001 S Fwy, Fort Worth, TX 76115.
