Lester Paul Boudreaux, Sr., entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, June 3, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Susan McClure Boudreaux. A loving father of Lester Paul Boudreaux, Jr. and Melissa Boudreaux Thibodaux. A proud grandfather of Justin Boudreaux (Jordan), Brandon Boudreaux, Magan Kovac (Stephen), Abagale LeBeouf (Mathew), Shelby Thibodaux, and a great grandfather of Hunter Boudreaux, Stephen Kovac, Jr., Jackson Kovac and Arabella LeBeouf. Son of the late Anne and Walker Boudreaux and his sister Ester Boudreaux Kinkaid. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Bessie Ronquille, Jessie Boudreaux, Frank Boudreaux (Judy), Cheryl Guidry (Sylvester), Jeannie Claxton (Dud) and Donald Boudreaux. Thanks to his brother-in-law, Troy McClure for his support and care given during the past years that Lester was ill.
Age 71, a native of Lafourche Crossing, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana.
Lester served his country in the United States Army National Guard and later worked with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #406 until his retirement and continued his membership and activities with Masonic Local #408 until his death. He loved horseback riding, fishing, and mostly spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Notre Dame Hospice for their compassionate care given to Mr. Lester. They would also like give a special thank you to Tamika and Chrishana for their care and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Grace Baptist Church, 5000 Leo Kerner Pwky, Marrero, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
