Dodgeville - Lillian D. Nye, age 91, of Dodgeville, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center.

Lillian was born during The Great Depression in Fennimore, WI on April 9, 1925, a daughter of the late William and Emma (Fisher) Maso. This taught her to make the best of everything she had, which at times was very little. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family. She always made sure that no one felt left out. Lillian loved crafting, gambling and most of all cooking good old fashioned meals for her family. She was known for her wonderful smile and that little twinkle in her eye. She had a special zest for life and even went back to school at the age of 64 to acquire her long awaited GED. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Lillian is survived by her sister, Eleanor Stevens of Dodgeville; her sons, Lee Maso of Madison and Charles (Juanita) Nye of Cobb; her grandchildren, Brenda (John) Hlavac, Karla (Jason) Hlavac, Jared (Jessye) Maso, Michael (Alice) Anderson, Jeremy (Teresa) Anderson, Melissa (fiancé, Roger Cooley) Anderson and Christine (Adam) Alt; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hugo, her infant grandson, Eric Maso, her infant sister, Carolyn, her brother-in-law, Wendell Stevens and her special kitty "Taffy".

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at DODGEVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. Rev. Jim Droste will officiate. Burial will be held in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church.

The family would especially like to thank Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab for 7 years of excellent care and friendships that she greatly enjoyed.
