Linda L (St Aubin) Bird (6/3/1952 - 2/11/2017), beloved wife of Charles Bird and a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan, died in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Linda was the daughter of David A St Aubin and Lou (Coumans) St Aubin. She was born and raised in Mt Clemens, graduating from L'Anse Creuse High School in 1970.

She fell in love with her future husband, Charles Bird of Detroit, Michigan in 1971. They were wed September 14, 1973 at St Peters Church in Mt Clemens. She is survived by Charles, and her brothers David (Skip) St Aubin and James St Aubin and many nieces and nephews.

Her early work life included being a waitress, factory work and store clerk. She worked several years as a bank teller. She last worked for several firms as an accountant before establishing her own successful practice.

Naturally athletic she excelled in softball and bowling. She was close to becoming a professional women bowler before her health kept her from pursuing that interest.

Linda was given a life-saving lung transplant at the University of Michigan Hospital in 2001. This gift enabled her to enjoy 15 ½ more years with a restored quality of life to share with her husband and family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and entertaining family in her home.

Linda was a rare, unique, loving, caring, compassionate person. Among her gifts was the ability to make each person feel special. She showed how special they were to her by her attentiveness to them and their needs. People felt her special warmth as a true friend and family member. Children, seniors and animals were all drawn to her kind and gentle nature. Others would know her for her genuine regard and acceptance.

Among her many talents was cooking and baking. If you were fortunate to be someone for whom she cooked, you would often be surprised at her choice of something made particularly with you in mind. Those meals were made for you with love in heart and were memorable.

There will be a simple brief memorial service at St Peters Catholic Cemetery In Mt Clemens at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to any Humane Society. She would urge you to enroll as an organ donor with the Gift of Life as it not only gave her so much but she was in turn able to give so much to others.
