DALLAS -- Linda Mitchell, 68, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., with The Rev. Vernon Gotcher officiating. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Linda was born on Oct. 6, 1943, to James Oliver and Jeanne Mitchell in Bradford, Pa. She attended Hillcrest High School and graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., in 1963. She went on to receive her B.A. in French from SMU. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
Linda spent about 15 years living in Boston working in the radio broadcasting field. She then returned home to Dallas to enter the insurance industry. Although she successfully served there for many years, her first love, indeed, her calling, was Christian broadcasting. Recently, she was working toward launching a Christian radio program with an interview format. Her calling was to show the world how the Lord has changed and enriched the lives of those in the celebrity spotlight who have accepted Christ as their Savior.
Survivors: Mother, Jeanne Mitchell; sister, Marcia Deacon and husband, William; niece, Dianne Normand; nephew, William Mitchell Deacon of Berkeley, Calif.
