Of Jackson, MI went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 15, 2017 in Jackson, MI surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 5, 1968 in Jackson, MI, she is survived by her parents Robert and Marilyn, brother Thomas, all of Jackson, cousin Katrina Melendy, furry "Little Bro" Bentley, and many devoted friends. Lisa graduated from Northwest High School in 1986. She furthered her education at Michigan State University, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Merchandising Management. She worked for several years in sales and retail and for the past 21 years, she worked in the business office at Spring Arbor University. Lisa was a gifted photographer, a collector of Mickey Mouse items, a grower of roses, and enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and spending time with her family and many faithful friends. She was an outstanding friend to many.

A Celebration of Lisa's life will be held at Central Wesleyan Church on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:00am; Reverend Bart Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson, Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5:00PM- 8:00PM. According to family wishes cremation will follow. Inurnment at Roseland Cemetery will take place on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lisa's name to the Gayle M. Jacob Cancer Center (https://donate.allegiancehealth.org/give-online) to assist future cancer patients or to Central Wesleyan Church, 119 N. Webster St., Jackson, MI 49202.

Lisa's family is thankful for the compassionate care she received from Dr. Malcolm Trimble and the staffs of Henry Ford Allegiance Hematology Oncology, Hospital, and Hospice Home.
