Lloyd Alfred Pablovich, age 101, joyfully entered into his eternal rest on 1/23/2018. He was very proud to be a native of New Orleans, a city he loved. Lloyd was a man of fearless determination, strong moral character and deep faith in God. When confronted with life's adversities, these traits served him well. His dedication to family, his keen sense of humor, and contagious laughter brought joy to all. As a proud American and WWII veteran he served in Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland and received the following citations: Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal and the Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal. Passionate drive and hard work led to Lloyd's successful ownership and operation of Pablovich's Restaurant for 35 years until its closure in December, 1974. He was preceded in death by his best friend, partner and beloved wife, Nathalie Buckley Pablovich, his mother, Lottie Raicevich Pablovich, father, John Pablovich, and brother, Leslie E. Pablovich (Eva). Loving father of Veronica Massa (Frank), Marietta Puckett (Robert, Sr.) of Carencro, LA, Sister Sue Pablovich MSC, Janet Landry (Mickey), Julie Pablovich, Beth Attardo (Peter), and Lloydell Gary (Paul). Grandfather of Monica M. McNeil, Robert Puckett, Jr. (Rebecca), Kenneth Puckett, Mandy P. Caldcleugh (J.P.), Michael Landry (Alison), Katie Landry (Van Wilson), Amy A. Gohres (Johnny), Brian Attardo, Benny Gary (Blythe), Gregory Gary, and Emily Gary. Great-grandfather of Payton, Nathalie, and Brendan McNeil, Nathan and Alyssa Puckett, Lily Gohres and Forrest Landry Wilson. All of us will remember and heed his advice whenever we parted company with him, "Keep up the good work!" The family is grateful for the loving care given by the staffs of Woldenberg Village Assisted Living Facility from 2012 to 2017, Chateau de Notre Dame Nursing Facility since May, 2017 and Notre Dame Hospice. Special thanks to Sheila Brown and Michelle McGraw for their tender, loving care.
