Lloyd Joseph Thibeaux was born on April 20, 1936 in Kaplan, Louisiana to Orillee and Lauris (Catalon) Thibeaux. He was 9th of 11 children.

Lloyd passed away on August 5, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Modesto California. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and two sisters.

Lloyd served in the United States Army, 4th Infantry Division as Private First Class(1956-1958) in Fort Lewis Washington and in the United States Army Reserve Presidio of San Francisco(1958-1962) He worked as a Carpenter for many years (1959-1980)

Lloyd met his bride to be Joyce, to whom he referred to as ("Joy") at the age of 19 and later went on to marry and start a family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 ~ years Joyce Thibeaux, (daughters) Tina Thibeaux, Anita Thibeaux (Valouny Sirivath), Marian Williams (James)and son Lloyd Thibeaux Jr., grandchildren and great grandchildren, Renee Thibeaux (Isaiah),Anthony Griggs (Faith, Anthony Jr.), Nicole Mortari, Keith
Jones Jr., Kayla Razo (Alina), Tory Jones, Malik Reynolds, Tina Jones, Andrew Thibeaux, Jesse Tan (Mason), brother, Nelson Thibeaux (Edna).

Lloyd was a loving and dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was the cornerstone of his family. He enjoyed music and loved to dance to Zydeco and Salsa. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica, ukulele and guitar. Lloyd's other passions were cooking, gardening, camping, fishing, bowling and traveling.

Lloyd gave his all for his family and it was a true blessing to love, be loved and cared for by him. He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends
