Lois Clair Bastas of Cottage Grove, OR passed away on January 28, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born January 16, 1928 in Ferndale, CA, to parents Silvio Albert Scilacci and Olga Clara (Renner) Scilacci. She graduated from Ferndale high school in 1946, then married Leopold Monroe Bertuccelli January 21, 1950 in Santa Rosa, CA and celebrated 38 years of marriage. Lois married her second husband Angel Bastas May 6, 1992 in Winnemucca, NV and they celebrated 11 years of marriage. Lois worked as a food service manager in the Santa Rosa High School cafeteria, in Santa Rosa, CA. She enjoyed making sweet treats, card making, stamping, sewing, quilting, fishing, camping and hunting. Lois is survived by daughters Ronda (Bertuccelli) and her husband James Kucala of Auburn, CA; Cheryl Bertuccelli-Minnick and her husband John Minnick, of Dorena, OR; grandchildren; Edward Kucala, Michelle (Kucala) Hildebrand and Naomi (Minnick) Driscoll; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alvin and Harold Scilacci, a sister Virginia (Scilacci) Bradley, and her husbands Leopold Bertuccelli, and Angel Bastas. A gathering will be held from 2:00-3:30 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Middlefield Oaks Assisted Living 1500 Village Dr. Cottage Grove, OR. A gathering will be held from 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Ferndale Town Hall 834 Main St., Ferndale, CA and a gathering will be held from 7:00-9:00 PM, Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the History Museum of Sonoma County 425 7th St. Santa Rosa, CA. Please Bring your favorite photos to share with the family. Inurnment will be in Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Santa Rosa, CA.
